What Is An Aspect?
An aspect is a measured angle between two planets or chart points. It describes their relationship, not their individual meanings. The aspect tells us whether those functions merge, confront, support, or continually adjust to one another.
Angle, Sign, And Geometry
Classical astrologers first recognized relationships between zodiac signs. Modern charts usually measure the planets by exact degrees. Sign relationships explain the symbolic structure, while degree measurements show how closely the planets form the angle.
What Is An Orb?
An orb is the allowed distance from an exact aspect. Orbs are judgment thresholds, not extra energy. Mune uses wider orbs for major planets and tighter orbs for supporting points, whose meaning is clearest through close contact.
Applying And Separating
An applying aspect is moving toward exactness; a separating aspect has already perfected and is moving apart. This distinction adds texture, but it should not replace the planets, houses, and repeated chart themes.
Easy And Difficult Are Incomplete Labels
Trines can preserve habits that need examination. Squares can create conflict and build competence. An aspect does not decide whether a planet is healthy, ethical, or successful. It shows the kind of work two functions do together.
